Local Company Proposal Details: Is this a good deal?
When you installed Vista, was XP already installed? It's much better and there are less complications when you install the older Windows OS first on a dual boot. I ususally try to run Vista setup from the XP desktop on a dual boot, and then the bios won't change your drive letters which to me is hardly a big deal.

If, as you say, XP crashed during this procedure then there isn'ta lot anyone can do, unfortunately. I don't make the rules, Microsoft does. That's not to say there aren't issues, but it is the best version of Windows yet -- FAR better than XP. What XP was to 9x and NT/2000, Vista is to XP. If they could fix the upgrade issues -- which I'm not sure they can, given the vast array of hardware out there that Windows runs on -- it would be two thumbs up.
