Windows Vista Business
I can run my video cards (probably because I use ATI instead of NVidia...) unzipping isn'ta problem, my software works fine, even my printers and wireless work. I just dislike the look and I'm replacing my desktops with laptops, and I won't be buying any more that have Vista on until Service pack 2 comes out.

Get Linux and you can have THREE mouse buttons, all very handy. So if I install Linux on a Macbook I'll magically have 3 buttons on the built in trackpad? There isn'ta whole hour in which I use the computer and don't use all three buttons several times. Hasn't been for a lot of years, dating as far back as

What if you don't have a restore CD? In that case, you can install an evaluation copy of Windows Vista on the system, specifically to allow you to run Setup. Here's how: 1. Boot from the DVD and click Install Now. 2. Leave the product key box blank. Instead, click Next. 3. Click No in this warning dialog box. 4.

Vista and the uncertain wargamer
Clueless users compounding Windows lack of security (and utter lack to clue when it comes to designing something that *can* be made secure - even Vista has failed in that regard). Don't think I'll bother, ta. Strangely enough my desktop has 2 ATI graphics cards in (X1600 in crossfire mode) and it works fine.

It's taken a fair few years to write VISTA. Yep, but what I was trying to say that the improvements (such as there are) can't possibly be *as much* of an appeal but I don't think I would have stuck my neck out then and stated that 'it can't be much of an improvement over previous versions of Windows', No.

If you aren't going to be able to put them in order, what is the point of putting the others in order? Huh? I'd buy machines pre-installed with Linux if it were cheaper than their Windows counterpart, and then I'd just install (my legal copy of) Windows right over it too. No sense in buying another I can't claim to be a total newbie having used GNU/Linux for 2 years+ but if I can do it, any departmental head now can.
